I’m On The Same Level As Davido, Burna Boy, And Wizikid – Singer Rema claims

The performer responded to the outcry after his divisive tweet with this statement.

Divine Ikubor, a.k.a. Rema, is a Nigerian musician who has faced criticism from those who think he is not as good as Burna Boy, Davido, and Wizkid.

In response to the negative comments that followed his controversial tweet, Rema said “No more Big 3 there’s now a Big 4” in his new song ‘Hehehe,’ which was released via Mavin Global Holdings on Monday morning.

The “Big 3,” Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, are widely regarded as the most successful Nigerian/Afrobeats artists in the world. Rema, however, has maintained that he is now one of the “Big 4” Afrobeats megastars.

“No more big 3, there’s now a big 4. People go para but what for? Dem go say I don’t deserve it but that is an insult.”

In other news, Burna Boy has broken yet another music record in Nigeria. His new song “Higher” received 2.3 million plays on Spotify Nigeria in its first week of release. This beats the previous record of 2.1 million streams that Rema and Shallipopi’s “Benin Boys” held.

Burna Boy has accomplished other things recently besides this. Additionally, “Higher” broke the record for the most first-day plays of an African artist’s solo song on Spotify.

June 27, 2024 saw the release of the song “Higher.” In his song, Burna Boy talks about the importance of appreciating the small things in life while achieving success.

To give the music video for “Higher” a distinct vibe, Burna Boy shot it in his hometown of Port Harcourt. While he was there, he worked on a charitable project, “Project PROTECT.” This organization works with The R.E.A.C.H. to help Nigerians who don’t have access to basic needs.
